Apart from twisting the Bible, which they profess to believe, they have added (in about 1823) the book of Mormon, an unbiblical and phantasy book, which they revere as authoritative as the Bible, and that is a no-no.
Not to speak of their partially hidden Theology and weird occultic practices. They may be nice people to know, but definitively not Christians.

I would not say that there is one best, but there are some very good translations. These are recommended::
KJV - King James Version
Its poetic style and beautiful rendering of the ORIGINAL Texts have made the KJV the most popularly loved version. To be noted is the fact that it was written in 1611, so the language may be heavy to contemporary speach.
Moreover, new Texts have been found to have a more complete understanding. But I highly recommen it.
NKJV - New King James Version
the modern language-updated version of the KJV. I, personally, use it.
NASB - New Americam Standard Bible
Probably the most accurate translation. Published in 1971, it gives the best translation of each original word, but it requires more attention and concentration in understanding.
ESV - English Standard Version
Formal equivalence – literal, staying close to the original sentence structure but changing it where meaning is compromised
CSB - Christian Standard Bible
The CSB aims to draw readers into a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. By translating Scripture into the clearest possible modern English, the CSB allows readers to experience God’s Word at its fullest.
